目前不銹鋼管有兩種制造管子的方式：無縫鋼管（seamless）、焊接或是電阻焊接（electric resistance welding，ERW）。
無(wu)縫鋼管是用擠(ji)型(xing)或是輥式(shi)穿孔(kong)方式(shi)+冷(leng)軋或冷(leng)拔相結(jie)合制(zhi)造(zao)。
焊(han)(han)接(jie)或電阻焊(han)(han)接(jie)管（Electric resistance welding）是將金屬片折彎成管狀后，在邊緣部分(fen)焊(han)(han)接(jie)接(jie)合，因(yin)此在管的側面會(hui)有焊(han)(han)接(jie)縫。
